alg: P&Ls and how books make (or don't) money: part the first: the mass market original complete failure

Ok, I admit it, I'm a total book geek and this article will probably send most people to sleep- but I found it interesting. It follows the money trail in publishing and selling a book. Bear in mind that this is the US model, and not the European- any UK or Irish Publihsers out there interested in comparing (or challenging?) the figures?
